Corporate Development/Strategy
The ideal candidate will have both MA advisory and Corporate Development/Strategy experience. Individuals who have experience in equity research will also be looked upon favourably. Suitable candidates will have had experience of presenting to clients.
Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of annual five-year business planning process
- Perform competitor analysis, including the maintenance of a database and ad hoc analysis, used in strategic discussions relating to the development of organic growth and acquisition strategies
- Build business plans for new business development and lead the initial implementation stages
- Provide input into strategic presentations, including Board-level presentations
- Work with the EMEA MA Team in the evaluation of acquisition targets
- Liaise with the EMEA Marketing and Client teams in order to ensure integration of business planning with other planning processes.
Skills required
- Very strong analytical skills and the ability to apply them in practical decision-making
- Intellectual curiosity and strong research skills
- Commercial awareness and proven ability to see the big picture, combined with focus on detail
- Ability to write and present strategic analysis clearly and succinctly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate autonomously
- Fluent European language skills in addition to English are highly desirable, especially German, French or Italian
- Experience working in matrix multi-country organisations is desirable
- Strong Excel modelling, PowerPoint and database skills are essential.
Prior experience
- 3+ years of experience in strategic planning, corporate development, management consultancy or corporate finance.
