Corporate Finance Specialist

Through our audit work and our major investigations into the value for money of government projects and programmes we tackle the big issues facing Government as it addresses the challenge to meet greater demand for public services with less resource, and as it invests to boost growth and innovates to deliver services more efficiently and effectively.

Our remit is expanding and we have an ambitious strategy which seizes the opportunities presented by changes in the public sector landscape and operating models. We are, therefore, recruiting a number of high calibre professionals with deep expertise in key areas to supplement our existing skill base.

We are now looking for a Corporate Finance Specialist with depth and breadth of expertise to apply the unique perspective of audit to improve the public sector’s use and commissioning of delivery from third parties in the private and not-for-profit sectors. With responsibility for value for money assurance work in relation to the government’s management of its shareholdings in banks and other companies wholly or partly taxpayer-owned, the postholder will also be required to provide expert comment on infrastructure financing and contracts. If you can demonstrate the insight and impact to add value to our work then we want to hear from you.

Closing date: Wednesday 31 July 2013

We are also seeking senior executives to provide expert advice to support our work on an ad-hoc basis. We are particularly interested in those with proven experience in a range of commercial environments, including: digital operations and business transformation, large scale capital projects, complex regulatory environments and corporate finance and banking.
