Corporate Governance Specialist (Asset Management)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide research support to the investment professionals specifically with regards to corporate governance.
- Carry out detailed research and present findings to the portfolio manager and to the wider investment team.
- Focus for the specialist will be companies within the Greater China region.
- Responsible to carry out details research in the following areas:
- History and structure of the company
- Board structure
- Company management
- Shareholder transactions
- Accounting practices
- Legal and regulatory practices
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting and/or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience from the Big 4, management consulting and/or equities research is preferred.
- An MBA, CFA or chartered accountant qualification is desirable.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills.
- An excellent working knowledge of accounting practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as the sector specialist will interact extensively with people of various nationalities in different locations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including macros and an aptitude for technology.
- Experience (preferred) with financial databases like Bloomberg and FactSet.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin are required.
