Our downtown Toronto client within the professional services industry is currently looking for a Corporate Legal Assistant to join their team. In this position you will be working in the Corporate Legal Division and providing full administrative and legal assistance to the General Council. Some of the main responsibilities of the role include the following:

-         Responsible for drafting correspondence and memoranda as well as other legal documentation

-         Preparing presentation material

-         Addressing general inquiries with the utmost professionalism

-         Communicating and acting as the liaison between external and internal clients

-         Booking meetings, arranging meetings and special events

-         Maintaining the physical and electronic files

 

Ideal candidates will posses the following qualifications:

 

-         7 to 10 years of experience as a corporate legal assistant

-         A postgraduate education in a related field

-         An outstanding understanding of legal terminology and administrative legal processes and procedures

-         Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, Office and PowerPoint (software testing will be conducted)

-         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-         The ability to prioritize and work in a team environment as well as independently

-         Availability for casual overtime
