Corporate Sales – Business Development Manager (Independent Equity Research business) recruitment

The Opportunity:

With offices in Central London, this firm is concerned with the provision of independent investment research to Corporate clients both within the UK and European Small / Mid cap space
Within this role you will perform a key role in the marketing effort, targeting companies and acquiring new business
You will be expected to convert both hot and cold leads, conduct business pitches and undertake follow-up activities
Within this role you will report to the Sales Director and will be key to the success of the marketing campaigns and ultimately the success of the business as a whole

Your Experience:

You will have a record of academic achievement and a demonstrable interest in the financial services industry
It is essential that you have some proven sales experience or at least the ability to "influence" others, although, knowledge of the financial services industry is paramount
You will have a broad knowledge of financial markets, macro-economic issues and equity research
This role requires you to possess the gravitas to work with senior management within client companies, to be able to engage and motivate members of the research team and to develop long-term client relationships
You will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong negotiation and listening skills
Core personable attributes will include, the ability to be proactive, well organised, enthusiastic approach to your work, commerciality
