POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of Corporate Security, the Corporate Security(CS) Technical Architect will be responsible for ensuring that systems designed and implemented within RIM are secure.
The primary focus will be for the Development and implementation of complex security systems to assist in event identification, containment, and investigation routines that will increase the effectiveness of the security operations technologies. The CS Technical Architect will assist in the evaluation and selection of security technologies and will work closely on the implementation of such solutions, being ultimately accountable for the implementation and successful handoff to Operations, supporting the Operations team on the ongoing growth and evolution of the systems.
The Security Technical Architect will also participate in the ongoing planning of the continued evolution of the technical landscape for security solutions. By becoming ingrained in specific RIM business units the Corporate Security Technical Architect will participate in the ongoing planning of the security solutions for that area
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Contribute in strategic complex projects such as DLP, Endpoint security strategy, PKI, and Identity Management
- Participation in cross-functional project teams
- The spread and adoption of automated security tools into all areas of RIMs business
- The input and maintenance of Corporate Security Roadmap
- Interoperability of tools and processes within CS to ensure maximum delivery of business objectives
- The growth and maintenance of "user content" applied to the security infrastructure
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience and expert understanding network architecture across security, Unified Communications, Wireless, routing and switching
- Experience designing secure network infrastructures.
- Experience with PKI, DLP, NAC and Endpoint strategies.
- Detailed knowledge of industry leading security applications, including SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) tools
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems and applicable system administration skills (Windows, Solaris, Linux)
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools like network sniffers, TCPDUMP or IPTRACE utilities
- Should be able to document designs and implementations in a formal manner
- Extensive architecture and design across multiple technologies with a security focus.
- University or Master's Degree in related field
- CISSP, CISA, or CISM preferred
- CCSE, CCSP, CCNP, CCIE, MCSE or other designation desirable
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
