Description
The Corporate Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO) is accountable to the business/business partner/regional COO/CAO for all aspects of the business' Information, Technology, and Service Provider (ITSP) related risk, control and compliance matters. This individual provides leadership and direction to business and technology level IROs to drive implementation and monitoring of all ITSP policies and management processes to effectively mitigate ITSP risks. The SIRO will build and sustain a risk-aware culture and mindset among employees, contractors and service providers across the entire business environment. This individual will build and maintain appropriate governance for their assigned business or business partner area to ensure the business or business partner head is aware of the risks and drives the mitigation of determined risks. The SIRO is responsible for ensuring that their assigned business or business partner area makes information risk aware decisions. The role will have a dotted reporting line to the CRO for the business/business partner or the region. College degree. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
