Corporate Citizenship UK promotes and coordinates socially responsible activities on behalf of the bank and its employees in the UK. Deutsche Bank supports charities and community organisations within four key principles: Education, Social Investments, Art and Music and Corporate Volunteering. These areas, coupled with Sustainability, form our global commitment to Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR).
This key role within the UK team encompasses four main areas of Community Investment, sponsorship and communications alongside operations and management duties. The role requires someone with a sound understanding of CSR and experience of working within the CSR arena preferably from in a corporate environment. The successful candidate should be adaptable to a range of environments and comfortable dealing with individuals at all levels of seniority. They must have a broad range of experience and be able to manage budgets, prepare and deliver presentations, implement communication plans effectively and have excellent relationship management skills. This temporary role demands a dynamic individual who is a motivated self starter who can hit the ground running with strong analytical and strategic skills.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will encompass areas of Community Investment, Sponsorship, Operations / Management and Communications.
Your day to day duties will include:
1.Community Investment (50%)
- Oversee the relationship management and partnership development of all community partners
- Monitor the effectiveness of community programmes
- Produce funding proposals and updates to present to The Charities Committee (monthly excluding January and August)
- Ensure appropriate recognition of DB’s support by community partners, liaising with the brand team on appropriate usage of the Deutsche Bank logo.
- Liaise with the volunteer team, on appropriate volunteering opportunities offered by community partners.
- Manage the collection of data and annual submission of London Benchmarking Group (LBG) data.
- Develop the strategy for CC UK community investment activities.
- Build a pipeline of potential partnerships for 2014.
- Attend appropriate external forums/events (including community partner events) to meet potential new partners and represent Deutsche Bank.
- Respond to requests for funding appropriately including signposting to alternative sources where possible.
2.Sponsorship (25%)
- Manage the assessment and rejection process for sponsorship enquiries (primarily via the sponsorship.uk@db.com inbox) and record within the tracking spreadsheet.
- Oversee the day-to-day aspects of our London Scottish sponsorship including branding, event execution, communication with staff, linking in with other business areas and teams eg, Press, Brand etc and other ad-hoc requirements.
- Oversee the day-to-day aspects of our CREATE Festival sponsorship including branding, event execution, communication with staff and other ad-hoc requirements such as briefings for senior management, monitoring and evaluation of the partnership, linking in with other business areas and teams eg, Press, Brand etc.
- Respond to enquiries and requests for information from management about potential new sponsorships.
3.Operations / Management (15%)
- Deputise for Director of CC UK.
- Responsibility for one direct report.
- Effective management of London Donations budget including effective distribution, monitoring and updating based on requests from Business Management.
4.Communications (10%)
- Supply copy on community partnerships for CC UK communication tools (eg intranet and internet sites, email updates)
- Provide information for articles on CC UK activities for DB internal communications channels (eg Forum and intranet)
- Assist with collation of information for annual report (360), including final proofing, selection of images, decision on community partners to be showcased.
- Present at meetings/events wherever necessary to communicate our activities in the community.
Candidate requirements
You will have:
- Proven budget management skills
- Strong communication skills including clear and concise writing and proof-reading ability
- Excellent interpersonal skills and extensive experience of relationship management
- Experience in developing CSR related projects
- Experience of working within both the charitable sector and corporate sector
- Good IT skills specifically excel and powerpoint
- Project management skills
- A sound understanding of CSR
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable with analysing data
- Strong presentation skills
You will be:
- Adaptable in a range of environments
- Comfortable developing and implementing strategy
- Comfortable presenting and meeting with individuals at all levels of seniority
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Quick learner with the ability to multi-task
