Group Finance includes central finance areas, specialist teams and divisional finance teams which support our front-line businesses. Our specialist teams are; Global Finance Services, Group Chief Accountant's, Group Corporate Finance, Group Finance Business and Executive Support, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Group Internal Audit, Group Strategy, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Investor Relations. Our divisional teams are; Business Services Finance, Corporate Banking Finance, Markets and International Banking (MIB), Non-Core and APS Finance, and Retail, Wealth and Ulster (RWU) Finance.
The Direct Tax Compliance (DTC) group is responsible for corporation tax compliance for circa 400 subsidiaries within the Group. The Group Taxation team in Redhill (GTR) of which this role forms a part, is responsible for corporation tax compliance and tax accounting for some 120 Asset Finance subsidiaries within the Group and the provision of corporate tax advisory services mainly to the Business and Car divisions.
As Corporation Tax Analyst, your role will primarily involve preparation and delivery of UK corporation tax compliance, undertaking reconciliations and analysis for input to capital allowances reports, to be used for the preparation of tax returns to the HMRC. Additionally, you'll complete further analytical reviews of systems generated data. And you'll be responsible for a high volume workload, managing various deadlines and service standards. You'll maintain close working relationships with other tax teams and colleagues, in order to achieve team and business objectives.
Ideally, as Corporation Tax Analyst, you'll have proven experience of working in a systems analytical role, in a corporation tax environment, along with sound general business and commercial skills. You'll have strong influencing and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a competing workload and prioritise effectively. This role will suit someone who is working towards or has recently completed their CA/ ACA or CTA / AAT examinations.
