WPCG is currently seeking a Cost Controls Specialist for one of our downtown clients. Our client is a world leader in their field and is seeking a dynamic individual to join their growing team.
Job Description:
As a project team member, you will ensure that project cost controls decision can be made based upon accurate and timely cost, schedule and progress performance information. You are also responsible for planning and implementation of project cost controls resources, processes, tools and systems on the assigned major projects. You will also apply company policies and procedures for the area of project cost controls. The Specialist will also transfer learning from actual project implementation into the improvement of company policies and procedures. There will also be administrative duties in regards to implementation of job requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong skills in the area of budgeting, cost controls, cost system application and construction cost management are essential
- Good understanding of the areas of estimating, scheduling and overall project and construction management
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- A Graduate degree in an Engineering discipline is an asset
- Minimum 5 years experience in project management and cost controls on major mining and process plant project implementation is required
