Coupons Business Analyst
Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Coupons Business Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Coupons Business Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
Additional Position Details:
- Define implement a robust control around coupon accruals static on bonds / notes to ensure accuracy of PL in Front Office System and validity of Balance Sheet accruals in Sub Ledger
- Minimise operational effort involved in managing accrual breaks between Front Office system and Sub Ledger
- Clearly identify how limitations in current process flow and system infrastructure impact resourcing requirements in Operations (i.e. why Operations requires the number of people it does to manage breaks)
- Perform root cause analyse on break portfolio. Identify cases where breaks can be eliminated by changes to Operational processes and implement. Where significant infrastructure change is required, this should be identified but delivery of those changes is outside the scope of this element of the project.
- Successful completion of the project will be demonstrated by control being run in effectively in BAU team, with breaks profile (age / value) within agreed bounds.
- Bond / note product knowledge (understanding the products and their booking and accounting)
- Ability to define and implement effective but pragmatic solutions in complex environments
- Ability to prioritise and manage high workload with frequent conflicting demands in a changing environment
- Ability to solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated) - understanding the bigger picture and ensure relative priority and perspective is brought to bear
- Building a network of contacts and relationships with key and senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Ability to identify risks, issues and opportunities - define and implement strategies to address
