Credit Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a section of corporate clients portfolio. This includes client’s risk profile assessment, accurate and timely risk rating; documentation and the ongoing monitoring of credit names as well as assisting in underwriting, structuring.
- Carry out credit due-diligence on clients; perform financial, business and industry analyses, conduct research. Develop credit approval document.
- Provide views, recommendations, clearly voice opinions on covered credit names to senior risk officers and bankers.
- Self-identify issues to provide thoughtful forecast, ensure satisfactory risk-reviews of covered credits.
- Stay up to date with the political, economic and business environment in the region and have a view on how these impact the current and target clients. Follow key developments in industries and clients closely in order to identify and act on asset quality deterioration.
- Collaborate with various groups within Risk organization to share value-added commentary and guidance as appropriate, in relation to clients they cover in the above region.
- Actively participate in execution of transactions from credit risk standpoint, including structuring, negotiation of legal documentation, liaising with external counsel and working with Debt Capital Markets, Fixed Income Currencies Commodities, Trade Finance.
Requirements:
- Credit risk analysis experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of issues relating to industry risk, transaction risk, counterparty risk, and an awareness of country risk factors, reputation risk, and operational risk.
- Term sheet / trading documentation negotiation and structuring skills
- Solid understanding of standard credit-related documentation i.e. ISDA, IFEMA, CSA, GMRA, and Loan Agreements would be preferred.
