Credit Analyst – Associate Director / Director – FIs / NBFIs

Our client's FIs group has an extensive banks portfolio, but also covers a growing number of Non-bank FIs, including asset managers, interbroker dealers and leasing companies, among other segments. The successful candidate will be based in London, focusing on banks and Non-bank FIs primarily in the UK, with opportunity over time to expand to coverage of other regions.

 

Requirements:

A good educational background to at least university degree level, with several years' experience of credit analysis.

A balance of good numeracy, analytical ability and skills in writing concise, fluent English.

Gained several years' analytical experience, preferably including analysis of banks and firms active in the securities industry.

Deliver high quality credit analysis and research on banks and securities companies.

Have an understanding of both standard bank metrics and corporate cash flow metrics.

Conduct in-depth meetings with senior management at rated institutions.

Present credit analysis on banks and Non-bank FIs to a rating committee, deal with investor customer queries, prepare for and attend rating committees on institutions from other geographic areas and contribute to internal discussions on rating issues.

Able to work independently while also being good team players, confident communicators, and able to cope with time pressure and deadlines and adapt to a multi-cultural environment.
