Credit Analyst Director recruitment

My client a leading global hedge fund is looking to ramp up its Hong Kong office by hiring strong senior credit analysts and assistant Portfolio Managers. Unlike some hedge funds today, our client’s core strategy is derived from capital preservation and all their assets have lock up periods for about 24 months.

Their investors consist of some of the worlds wealthiest people who themselves have trusted them for many years. This combination of strong underlying principals combined with capital secured gives fertile ground for a bright career for future employees. If you are a seasoned credit analyst, our client would give you a track to run on to actually become a co-PM in the coming 24 months. In fact our client has dedicated about 30-40% of the revenues from this bond fund as equity to the management team of this fund. Therefore this opportunity offers unrivalled elements of upside.

As an experienced analyst you will work closely with the PM on High grade and high yield bonds and be trained by the matured seasoned PMs. Ideally, the incumbent should have buy-side experience but strong and matured sell-side analysts who have high conviction trading/analysis experience will be considered.

The incumbent must also be a strong communicator who is great in client facing environments since pitching and presenting ideas/recommendations are fundamental elements in sourcing and execution of deals with existing and prospective investors. My client is attracted to entrepreneurial and motivated personalities as this would be an opportunity that has a unique platform for a steep yet progressive curve for self-development to build out and handle different segments around the world. Several opportunities exist within this organisation and the ones who demonstrate the highest potential will be given a chance to step up as Junior Portfolio Manager, thus aspiring applicants should apply.

This person will have a lot of exposure to many areas of the business and will require regular travel and would have a healthy balance of deal interaction and analysis work.  In your application, please clearly indicate the geographical coverage of your work history. Analysts who have prior special situations experience are strongly encouraged to apply as well.
