Our client, a specialist Private Equity firm is currently seeking to hire a Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst to join their London team
Our Client
Our client is a specialist Private Equity Fund which creates value through investing in projects in infrastructure and real estate. With over 15 years experience in structuring and actively managing assets, it identifies and develops compelling investment opportunities for a diverse, global group of investors.
The Role
The successful candidate with be responsible for supporting the Head of Risk and the Credit Risk Manager in maintaining and improving the Credit Risk function of the group by providing high quality credit opinions on a variety of counterparts across they growing property and infrastructure businesses.
By way of example the candidate will:
- Provide high quality credit opinions in a timely manner to assist the deal teams with their investment decisions
- Monitor the credit status of tenants/co sponsors/contractors
- Update credit opinions when any new material/information is received
- Prepare any credit risk information or portfolio analysis which is required for the quarterly investor reports and/or the portfolio review meetings
- Support the ongoing development of credit rating tools and portfolio analysis
- Ensure that all counterparts are rated and regularly monitored
- Provide and maintain detailed industry sector analysis on key sectors for the business; including liaison with external industry specialists
Candidate Profile
- Has a good understanding of credit risk with demonstrable experience of working in a credit risk environment
- Has logical reasoning, strong analytical skills with an ability to find and implement solutions
- Is well organised and able to prioritise
- Has excellent administration skills
- Is able to deliver quality written reports
- Has the ability to deal with different levels of people
- Suitable candidates will have work experience in the financial industry, such as commercial banking
- Knowledge of a foreign language would be beneficial but not essential, in particular French, German, Spanish or Polish
- Professional qualifications may include formal banking accounting or risk management
