Credit Analytic Expert

Our fin-tech team is made up of senior experts in credit, programmatic trading, structured products and venture technology with an average of two decades experience.
Role Responsibilities:
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead credit policy and loan valuation analysis for a fast growing investment fund and report directly to the Chief Credit Officer. The winning candidate will work directly with the partners of the firm to develop and perfect our credit scoring, investment trading and risk management platform. As part of the core team, this person will be exposed to most aspects of the business and expected to wear many hats. This person should enjoy / excel working in an entrepreneurial highly collaborative environment. This opportunity has tremendous upside in a fast growing organization addressing a disruptive new market opportunity.
Specifically, he/she will leverage the knowledge of installment loans and expertise in data-driven analysis to differentiate credit risk and ground key economic drivers underlying loan performance. S/he will build an appropriately complex financial model that calculates expected loan value and allows for scenario gaming to optimize loan investment decisions and portfolio performance.
This person will serve several key functions:
- Build our loan valuation capability; drive continuous improvements to develop loan investment “credit policy” (new variables, new data sources, underwriting research agenda items).
- Research / insights for shaping how we structure investment products.
- Manage, mentor, drive results through other analytic resources.
- Deliver loan performance against managed performance metrics
- Influence the behavior prediction research agenda and hiring of analytic talent
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in analytical/quantitative field (Economics, CS, Philosophy, Engineering, Math) from a highly competitive school. MS Engineering or MBA Preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in complex, data-driven problem solving
- 3+ years in consumer lending working in an analytic role
- Top 1% quantitative analytics skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Location: Midtown Manhattan, Limited Travel 20%
