Credit Associate, TMT or X-Sector
Owing to a sustained period of successful trading, expansion is now part of the agenda for my client and as such the corporate credit analysis functions for the corporate lending and wholesale banking are being extended.
The plan is to take on 1-2 high calibre Associates with good credit pedigrees i.e. hands on in the credit process, able to go beyond the numbers and produce credit memoranda or credit reviews and someone who will develop within a credit analysis capacity. The mid term (say 2-3 years) scope for development which will be very much encouraged by the client will see candidates moving either into Front office Banking as Relationship Managers / Sales or progressing into Credit Risk and further.
Sector coverage is pan European, candidates with TMT and Natural Resources coverage will generate particular interest although this is not necessarily the only sector coverage considered.
Day to day functional duties:
* Prepare and maintain client account plans and pipeline reporting. Prepare call reports following client visits or after substantive telephone conversations
* Preparation of annual and periodic review of clients' operating and financial performance on a timely basis, ensuring accurate and current credit exposure and risk management is in line with credit approval policies and procedures.
* Monitoring of client obligations in line with documentation (including timely receipt of client financial information and covenant control).
* Ongoing 'real time' client risk analysis based upon available client information, discussions and industry trends with an ultimate view to impact on clients' key credit risks and risk grade.
* Maintenance of client credit files for designated accounts.
* Responsible for overall credit quality of client portfolio as measured by exceptions raised by credit risk review and feedback from Risk team
Candidates need to have a background within Corporate Credit Analysis undertaken for a financial services firm as mentioned above. The role is permanent, a job spec is available
