Credit Control / Sales Ledger Manager

Looking for an experienced Credit Controller with management experience. This role is based in Yeovil, Somerset and is to cover maternity from 6 months to 14 months, starting immediately. The successful candidate will have experience minimising bad debt risks and maximise daily collections of accounts receivable. You will also be required to supervise Sales Ledger duties and assist as required.

Duties;

· To take responsibility for a substantial proportion of the current sales ledger including Key/National Accounts
· To follow all Credit Control Duties
· To achieve daily/monthly targets set. Encourage teams to reach the targets set and report to the Company accountant and directors monthly.
· To minimise bad debt risk whilst maintaining good customer relations. To follow up on other accounts with the credit controllers
· To work to strict deadlines, either independently or as part of the team. To ensure all members of the team are meeting the deadlines.
· To effectively communicate problems encountered and resolve or escalate to the Company accountant.
· Hold monthly meetings with the Company Accountant and Director
· Review or authorise manual credit/invoice notes
· Monitor ‘held orders’ and liaise with customers as required. Ensure the whole Credit Control Team is in control of this
· To review customer credit limits
· To ensure all relevant paperwork is kept up to date.
· To undertake extra duties as and when required to support the Accounts department.
· To authorise the team holiday and appointment requests
· To assist with all sales ledger duties
· To authorise a new account applications
