Credit Director – Insurance recruitment
As a senior member of the team you will have responsibility for mentoring junior members of staff, as well as managing your own portfolio of clients. You will also be an Insurance Subject Matter Expert in the team.
Responsibilities include:
- The proactive management of a portfolio of Insurance across Developed Europe, with a particular focused on Italy ( possibly also France)
- Ownership of front-to-back credit risk management including counterparty financial analysis, determination of internal risk ratings, and regular monitoring of counterparty performance to identify any emerging credit risk
- Transactional specific credit analysis, working alongside the front office and building strong relationships with them
- Setting the risk appetite on a single counterparty basis and contribute to the setting of risk appetite for your given countries and sectors
- Actively participating in and helping to implement the change agenda in credit risk
The successful candidate should have:
- Ideally a fluency in Italian. A French speaker would also be considered, but languages are not a must
- Demonstrable experience in credit risk, managing your own portfolio
- Previous/existing delegated credit authority is a must have for this role
- Strong product knowledge is essential, including loans and derivatives
- Experience in working with the front office
- You may be a qualified accountant and could come directly from the Insurance industry
