Credit Intermediation Staff Coordinator – Markets recruitment
The Financial Stability Market Monitoring directorate of the MOMA function is seeking a Staff Coordinator to lead the Credit Intermediation staff (CI).CI is responsible for contributing to analysis of financial sector firms that are integral to the credit intermediation process including banks, non-bank financial companies, insurance companies. The group is responsible for providing short- and medium-term analysis of these sectors within the context of global asset market monitoring and financial stability more broadly.
Responsibilities
The CI Staff Coordinator is responsible for direct management of the CI staff which includes 5 Trader Analysts and a Rotational Analayst. Specific responsibilities include:
- Oversee the group's analytical agenda ensuring sufficient coverage for market monitoring and financial stability related projects; encouraging the timely development of pertinent analytical themes; and the careful guidance and review of written work, presentations, and briefings
- Contribute directly to Bank-wide discussions and analytical projects related to credit intermediation; Actively support collaboration on credit intermediation work within the Bank and Federal Reserve System
- Contribute to Markets Group discussions on analytical objectives and priorities related to credit intermediaries
- Support senior management in the development of the Directorate's financial stability analytic agenda, manage staff, support and collaborate with other managers in the Directorate
- Provide comprehensive staff development including on-going training, regular feedback, and career development guidance for all CI staff
- Perform business administration tasks such as budget management, strategic planning and staff planning

Requirements
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Master's level degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Policy or a related area
- Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills, both written and oral
- At least five years of work experience in market analysis, strategy or trading; ideally with an orientation towards financial institutions or credit products, and deep familiarity with relevant data sources
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including substantial knowledge of financial instruments, market structure, macroeconomic theory, and monetary policy
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead projects and manage staff with a proven track record of driving results while balancing competing priorities and short time tables
- Demonstrated ability to engender collaboration and information sharing
- Proven ability to lead concise and effective discussions in both formal and informal settings
- Ability to extract larger themes while providing concise, articulate, and insightful analysis in both written and verbal form
- Excellent diplomacy skills with the proven ability to drive results by working with external and internal colleagues
This position requires access to Federal Open Market Committee Data, which is limited to 'Protected Individuals' as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
