Credit Officer – Director – Hedge Funds & Insurance recruitment
My client is looking for a candidate who has gained significant experience in a tier one Bank to join their credit team. You will work alongside other Credit Analysts on a mixed portfolio of insurance and hedge fund counterparties. You will work under the Team Leader and you will give both analytical and management guidance to the more junior members of staff.
This is a great team which enjoys a very good reputation internally within the bank and they are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills to match your analytical ability.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyse existing counterparties and sanction new counterparties
- Review existing clients and exposures on a regular basis, credit write-ups, and due diligence visits.
- Provide credit input into documentation, liaising with Front Office, and monitoring of collateralized positions and fund performance.
Skills required:
- Strong risk analysis skills for reviewing financial institutions. Hedge fund and insurance experience particularly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of financial products
- Strong written skills required to concisely and clearly formulate credit applications for approval by credit committees
- Ability to react quickly to requests for approvals from trading rooms
- Experience in meeting clients and conducting due diligence reviews
- Exhibit maturity and confidence in decision making
- Excellent understanding of documentation used for trading products including ISDA, CSA, GMRA etc and ability to set credit terms is required. Experience with lending documentation is helpful
