Overview:
CRM is an independent credit approval and monitoring function for the whole of Deutsche Bank.
The DM European Corporate Transaction Group within CRM is the centre of competence for transaction requests for LargeCap Corporates in Europe. In addition to margin, cash and contingent lines, the group will focus on complex derivative and structured loan transactions. The group will work closely with the various GM, GB and GTB product and sales areas.
Position description:
*Report to Team Head
*Responsibility for managing a portfolio of circa 25 credit groups
*Industry focus
*Monitor target industries/markets and undertake regular due-diligence visits
*Support business by providing trade structuring solutions
*Ensure portfolio quality and documentation/underwriting standards are maintained
*Develop and adhere to counterparty, industry and strategies
*Contribute to improvements in CRM processes
Technical Skills:
*Sound financial analysis skills
*Preferably corporate credit
*Modelling skills
*Experience with both loan and derivative transactions
*Understand Counterparty PD LGD's
*Sound knowledge of capital markets products and risk drivers
*Strong documentation and risk mitigation skills
*Knowledge of macro and micro - economic aspects and of business developments in target markets
Preferable skills:
*Able to run transactions independently
*Familiarity with providing standalone ratings for counterparts or structured trades
*Ability to engage with business and help/guide their transactions/structures such that they conform to the banks risk appetite.
*Able to highlight key risks in structured/non-orthodox transactions and provide recommendation to senior management in context of bank's risk appetite 'risk versus reward'
*Credit analyst role ideally within a top tier investment bank (min 3 years)
*Approval authority
Essential skills:
*Previous experience of working within an investment bank
*Credit Officer experience is vital
