Credit Officer – Wealth Management recruitment

As a Credit Officer within Wealth Management, your chief function is to assess credit requests generated from the Bank's UK and Jersey booking centres, working as part of a team of six within a dynamic environment. As Credit Officer, your chief responsibilities are to identify and quantify credit risks, to implement measures aimed at minimising risks as well as to make recommendations and credit decisions.

As there is no formal credit committee structure, the ability to make decisions, weighing up both the risks and opportunities involved, is vitally important. Similar, the successful candidate will possess sound communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with the Front Office, implementing credit decisions.

You will be required to possess a comprehensive knowledge of the credit process from front-to-back and the corresponding systems and tools. This process takes place in line with Risk Management and Control Principles, the Group Credit Policy Framework, as well as with the relevant credit directives and local and official provisions within the context of the ad personam delegated credit competencies.

In addition to traditional loan and banking products, the successful candidate will be expected to assess requests which cover single stock concentrations, FX margin trading, and UK residential mortgages. There is also the opportunity to gain experience providing credit facilities to sponsored private equity vehicles.
