Credit Oversight Manager – London recruitment

Main function of the job:
- Provide credit oversight for the assets held on the books of various legal entities of Wells Fargo Bank domiciled in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region.
- Review loans booked in the EMEA region to ensure that Wells Fargo credit standards are being maintained in region.
- Develop and maintain asset quality trending reports to be distributed to senior management, regulators, internal audit and risk asset review teams.
- Review and update as necessary Credit Policies to ensure such policies are fit for the EMEA region.
- Provide credit oversight of the credit portfolios in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities:
- Review, in conjunction with the Line of Business (LOB), the LOB credit policy to ensure that it is fit for the EMEA region.
- Assist in ensuring that credit exposures are properly reflected in the respective legal entities in the EMEA region.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reports summarizing asset quality and the trending of credit quality migration.
- Interface with the Lines of Business to provide the appropriate oversight of the credit exposures booked in various legal entities in EMEA.
- Develop a concentration risk model that applies in region.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Ideally degree educated preferred in Finance or Mathematics.
- Experience in developing risk models to support portfolio management would be an advantage.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to provide presentations and briefings to management.
- Formal credit training at a financial institution and/or equivalent work experience.
- Credit risk experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
- Must be able to work independently in a demanding team environment.
- Ability to operate comfortably in a large, multicultural organisation.
- Strong IT skills especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
