As a Credit Partner you will take full responsibility of your assigned credit portfolio which will include understanding their credit requirements and becoming their advocate when presenting their applications to an internal approval committee. p

p

Considering the level of this role, you will need to have exceptional communication and client-facing skills as well as an ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders. p

p

As a Credit Partner your skills and qualifications will ideally include: p

p

Clear demonstrable experience in a credit analysis role covering a portfolio of corporates. p

Demonstrable exposure to the UK corporate commercial banking sector p

Solid understanding of the typical corporate banking suite of products, including an understanding of derivatives (interest rate FX swaps) and other specialist products offered by the Bank p

A very good understanding of financial forecasting methodology and credit rating interpretation p

Banking, Treasury or Accountancy professional qualifications and/or educated to degree level p

As a Credit Partner your main responsibilities will involve: p

p

In partnership with Relationship Managers, take personal responsibility for a portfolio of regionally based client relationships, undertaking appropriate due diligence, preparing annual renewal and other interim Credit Applications and making approval recommendations to the appropriate approval level. p

p

Ensuring that all the relevant financial and non-financial aspects are considered, resulting in all the respective credit risks being identified and suitably mitigated p

p

Undertaking effective on-going portfolio management of this portfolio, including covenant compliance p

p

Present credit applications to the respective credit approval committee, providing an independent, balanced view of the credit risks and proposing a course of action p

p

Provide constructive support to the Business; where appropriate seek to identify effective solutions with the objective of structuring transactions to meet the Banks credit policy framework and delivery of financial targets. p
