We are looking to hire a Credit Partner to join our Acquisition Leverage Finance team.

As a Credit Partner - Acquisitions and Leverage Finance, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Strong credit analytical skills. Demonstrable exposure in an LBO credit analysis role with a sound understanding of credit methodology and credit rating interpretation.
- Demonstrable exposure to leverage banking sector and a sound understanding of various structured facilities. Experience of corporate banking helpful.
- Strong demonstrable ability to adapt, manage, and run LBO excel financial forecasting models.
- Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, setting of covenants, valuation methodologies (including comparative, DCF, IRR, and capital structure dynamics with respect to valuation). A strong ability to run financial scenarios on a given model to help explain and mitigate risks identified.
- Ability to identify transaction and credit risks through interpretation of extensive due diligence materials prepared by auditors, commercial, legal and tax advisors, and set an appropriate capital structure to mitigate those risks.
- Strong LBO documentation skills and experience in negotiating structure, terms, conditions and covenants. Experience of InterCreditor documentation and terms covering mezzanine and subordinated debt.
- Banking, Treasury or Accountancy professional qualifications /or gained a degree in a relevant subject
- A sound understanding of the typical corporate banking suite of products, including an understanding of derivatives (interest rate FX swaps) and other specialist products offered by the Bankighly developed presentational and business writing skills
- Ability to communicate, both orally and written form, in a confident, articulate, structured and coherent manner.
- Demonstrates a sound knowledge of the relevant sector and interest in the wider economic and regulatory environment
As a Credit Partner - Acquisitions and Leverage Finance, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Analyse / review / check / challenge credit applications prepared by a nominated team of Corporate Structured Finance ("CSF") Relationship Managers to ensure they provide clear, concise and robust credit analysis, together with balanced recommendations for credit approval as appropriate.
- Analyse / review / check / challenge, financial models prepared by CSF underpinning respective credit applications.
- Meet prospective clients and sponsors with a view to authenticating content of respective credit applications and supporting information.
- Effectively communicate risks identified through due diligence and set / write / defend appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate those risks.
- Provide a balanced written and oral assessment of an LBO management team.
- Ensure the standard of credit applications is consistent and of a high quality.
- Present credit applications to the respective credit approval committee, providing a balanced view of the credit risks and proposing a course of action.
- Ensure LBO documentation is within credit approved terms.
- If granted and specified, exercise of personal delegated authority.
- When appropriate, role and responsibilities to be transferable to the Large Corporate portfolio.
- Seek to assist the Business in the achievement of its targets.
- Monitor a defined LBO client portfolio, ensuring timely provision of information, covenant compliance, waivers/amendments/increases/annual reviews, with non timeliness notified to Risk and CSF.
- Ensure any credit risk warning signs are being identified and escalated to Risk at an early stage, with effective proposals made.
