My client, a global organisation offering banking and investment management services to a wide range of clients, are currently building out a new second line assurance team, looking at the Credit Risk policies and processes from an Operational Risk perspective.
In this role, you will assist in providing independent analysis and assessment of credit policy compliance, credit process and operational credit control frameworks across all functions and divisions, forming a key part of the governance structure.
This role will be charged with influencing senior management, demonstrated in liaison with Heads of Credit and BU Risk/Compliance to reduce disruption to the business unit when undertaking credit reviews, and in drafting and negotiating recommendations for timely enhancement / improvement actions.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has a proven track record within Credit, but has more recently moved in an Operational Risk or Assurance role, either directly for a financial services institution or with a large consultancy. The perfect candidate will be able to demonstrate instances of where they have highlighted inconsistencies in credit documentation and performed assurance reviews of credit policy and processes.
