Junior Risk Management Support
Deliver World Class Credit Risk Reports

ROLE SUMMARY:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for End-to-end implementation of strategic and tactical projects to enhance data quality for credit risk reporting, moving of current tactical reporting processes to strategic systems (Business Objects, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Silverlight), and Level 2 support of currently existing Business Objects reports.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Project Management duties
- Working with various departments of the bank (IT, Credit Risk Management, Data controls teams) to deliver data integrity enhancement and process improvement projects.
- Liaising with business users and project teams in Singapore, Zurich, and London
- Suggesting testing scenarios, and performing end-user testing
Business Analysis Duties
- Conducting process reviews, identifying deficiencies
- Reviewing, understanding, and documenting key processes controls
- Participating in the design, analysis and testing of Change Requests to key Risk systems (Insight and CRIS)
IT duties
- Understanding the data structure and data tables of various risk reporting databases
- Understanding the data flows between many different systems
- Writing SQL queries in Microsoft Access to perform ad-hoc data analyses and tests
- Acting as the Subject Matter Expert on various reporting processes
- Developing reports using Business Objects, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Silverlight
- Providing Level 2 support on Business Objects and creating complex reports.
Risk reporting duties
- Assisting in interpreting and troubleshooting reports
- Understanding the various financial products that the bank transacts and their impact on reporting
- Understanding stress test methodology for various risk types
TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:
- University/college degree in Accountancy/Finance, IT, or related discipline
- Relevant knowledge and experience in either Business Objects, SQL Server or Microsoft Silverlight
- Prior experience designing reports in a using data warehouses
- Expert PC skills and advanced knowledge of:
o MS Excel and MS Access
o C#
o ASP.NET
o SQL Server stored procedures, functions, triggers
o Database design, normalisation, optimisation
o SilverLight - Experience in Credit Risk function and preferably with working experience in the area of project management would be desirable
- General knowledge of financial products and of financial markets. More advanced knowledgeof fundamental Credit Risk Methodologies (e.g. Netting, Collateral, Counterparty Risk), or risk measures such as VAR would be an advantage.
- Strong Analytical skills and intellectual curiosity
- Good quantitative skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment.
