Credit Risk Analyst – Officer / Assistant Vice President (Based in London, UK) recruitment

Department Description:
This group is part of Treasury Services Risk Management and is accountable to the Treasury Services Europe, Middle East and Africa
Risk Management Executive for the execution of credit policy and control of credit exposures.
The group
takes responsibility for monitoring and approving intraday credit exposures, covering a wide range of clients including banks, non-bank financial institutions including insurance companies and broker/dealers, corporates, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, pension funds and mutual funds.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage intraday credit exposures arising from a portfolio of products and clients via approving payments within a dynamic and fast moving environment.
Apply the principles of good credit risk, within respective approval authority, to manage credit exposures in an efficient and prudent mannerMonitor and approve intraday transaction exposure across all Treasury Services Europe, Middle East and Africa
branches for cash and securities movementsMonitor, acknowledge and approve overnight overdraft exposuresActively co-ordinate/liaise with relationship managers, sales to set up appropriate credit limits/arrangements to support clients' activitiesPartner with Relationship Managers/Sales to approve new clients and structure credit control solutions - attend client meetings and provide a view on financial informationTo be a credit subject matter expert for Treasury Services
payment systems and processesAssist with the development of the Global Funds Control System and any other systems that function with credit controlsWork with Treasury Services
Operations to ensure payment and securities trade approvals queues are clear by cut off time

Qualifications
Person Specification:
Credit training through a formal Bank programme or professional qualification e.g., ACA, ACCABanking experience, ideally in an international bankExperience in credit issues for Financial Institutions, Non-Bank Financial Institutions and Corporate strong partnering skillsAbility to think clearly and concisely in a pressurised environment and to be accurate, reliable and confident in approving credit exposures within delegated lending authority.A good level of understanding on the various Treausury Services
products and the credit risks associated with them. A good understanding of the global financial system and the process by which securities and cash settle in markets.
Advantageous:Have experience with JPMorgan systems e.g. GFC, Cosmic, CCMS, Exposure Now.
