Credit Risk Analyst – Real Estate recruitment

This role sits with the Real Estate Finance team, the team currently consists of 3 other people. This role is a replacement for another individual who left. As such this is a like for like replacement at AVP level.

This role predominately focuses on real estate in London for HNW/UHNW clients. The loan book is currently valued at £1.6billion with 62% invested in real estate. The team covers a broad remit is in involved in the deals from cradle to grave, there is a lot of interaction with front office, clients, external council, valuers, relationship managers etc. Experience of interacting with all parties involved in a transaction is required. Due to the nature of the clientele internal stakeholders dealing with senior management is necessary.

Focus of most business around 80% is on residential real estate within London’s prime location ranging from £5- 100 million. A portion of portfolio is for other areas in the country. There is a lot of interaction between teams the department has lucid movements between different areas. The incumbent would be looking at an 18month development plan to become a VP.

My client have a strong team in the market place, viewed as good lenders who offer good rates to clients without taking on excessive risk. There is a significant volume of business currently with 71 deals in the pipe line continued growth in the team.

Role Involves:

-Ensure requests conform to Credit Policy satisfying legal, valuation collateral frameworks.

-Identify make recommendations for requests outside guidelines

-Ability to multi-task manage several requests initiatives at any one time

-Deliver timely responses completions by set deadlines

-Involvement with new business initiatives projects with the ability to take on various responsibilities whilst delivering to deadlines

-Challenging collaborative partner to the Front office 

-Division/Department Overview 

-Responsible for making credit decisions. The team work closely with Relationship Managers and Structured Lenders to ensure the growth of the loan book is controlled and within the risk appetite of the bank.

-Provide multiple reports throughout the group contribute with many initiatives to support the growth of the business accomplish strategic goals.

Qualifications 

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

1 Previous Private Banking Credit function experience

2 Knowledge understanding of residential lending in the UK, including analysis (balance sheet, income cash flow analysis) credit application process

3 Knowledge of FSA Mortgage guidelines (MCOB)
