Credit Risk Analytics and Reporting recruitment
The risk department works with the business units to independently quantify the appropriate level of risk for the client, for the firm and for our shareholders, applying appropriate governance and control to ensure the right decisions are made using accurate calculation, assessment and recording of exposure and risk.
Within the risk department, the credit risk department is tasked with producing timely, accurate and complete credit metrics. The team is in the process of implementing a new Target Operating Model and are looking for key individuals to be a part of this.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and documenting infrastructure and reporting solutions for Risk.
- This spans both Derivatives (OTC and Exchange/CCP traded) and security-financing Trading Book transactions, as well as Banking Book positions.
- Monitoring and reporting the risk exposures in all types of risk inherent in a hugely diverse inventory of products, across all asset classes,
- Enhancing risk - and therefore RWA - accuracy, thus improving the bank's ability to make decisions and be profitable.
- Building a critical core of financial expertise and experience that will allow for career progression into front office, exposure management and risk management, among others.
- Ensuring data and system errors are spotted and remedied before data passed downstream to capital calculation and other key processes.
- Enhancing the control environment to ensure error spotting occurs at the earliest time possible.
- Explaining moves in key risk metrics whether market move, portfolio change or data/system error.
- Design and implement controls to ensure timely issue identification and resolution.
Candidate requirements:
- Significant experience in either credit or market risk, and experience with PFE, EPE, Basel II, PD LGD, RWA.
- Good derivatives product knowledge and an understanding of security financing trades.
- An awareness of key banking book concepts as well as an understanding of a Monte Carlo risk engine, metrics and associated data flows.
- Focus on delivery of both strategic and tactical solutions to Reporting and Data Quality issues.
Able to manage small, focused teams organized on Products/Industries/Systems lines.
You will be an expert or advanced user of both Excel and Access, including an in-depth knowledge of the VBA language.
Extensive use of SQL and VBA to design, build and automate extraction and validation processes.
Designing, building and automating reporting solutions using common desktop tools, upsizing to strategic solutions where necessary.
