Credit Risk Associate
Job Summary
- Reporting to a Finance Director, responsible for developing and implementing credit risk policy and operation manual for the Brokerage business
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and update the Company's credit risk policy and operation manual;
- Decide appropriate Credit/Margin limit for clients based on their trading patterns and portfolios;
- Devise and revise margin ratio for clients on a periodical manner;
- Prepare the regular revision of the margin stock list for brokerage business due to market conditions and developments;
- Involve the day-to-day credit risk monitoring and advise unusual trading activities to the Management;
- Propose margin financing facility to clients with collateral assets;
- Prepare regular credit reports to track clients' credit positions;
- Perform margin calls when the amount of actual capital drops below a set percent of the total investment;
- Follow up unsettled call payments and issue demand for payment;
- Liaise with sales person to handle the problem accounts;
- Review the Company overall's credit risk profiles through providing regular analytical reports to highlight risk level;
- Advice the Management for approval of abnormal trade orders;
- Provide training to customer service officers for monitoring the credit risk profiles of clients;
- Perform User Acceptance Test in relation to trading system implementation
Requirements
- Degree holder in Risk Management, Finance or related discipline(s);
- CFA and/or FRM is preferable;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in credit risk control function served in brokerage firm;
- Good understanding of credit analysis of Institution and individual clients;
- Hands-on experience on applicable industry regulations and common market practices;
- Strong numerical ability, logical thinking ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Always keep abreast to the market to make sound judgment;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
