Responsibilities

Compliance reporting - production of credit risk regulatory capital returns to FSA and SARB
- Highly technical role - requiring understanding of complex products and close relationship with Business and Technology

Business support - respond to frequent queries from Business on regulatory exposures and provide support on new product proposals and source system changes

Regulatory initiatives - user acceptance testing on significant regulatory initiatives - i.e.Basel III regime and new CoRep reporting requirements

• Work closely with Credit Risk, Operations and Finance functions to ensure completeness of data in capital calculations, re-engineer source feeds and increase the efficiency and accuracy of information produced.
• Work with Regulatory Policy team, Business Analysts and IT to specify and test changes to systems in order to accommodate changes to regulations and reporting templates (Basel 3, Common Reporting), thereby ensuring ongoing compliance with FSA and SARB.
• Deal with queries from business, senior management and regulators regarding credit risk capital.
Contribute towards efficiencies within the Treasury Capital Management
Experience
Excellent academic background – graduate, qualified accountant with 2-4 years PQE.
Good knowledge of financial services industry and understanding of core products covering money markets, capital markets and commodities.
Proven analytical ability and attention to detail in order to drill down to core issues and ensure accuracy of reports.
Confident in dealing with management across different functions.
