Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Credit Risk Management is recruiting an Executive
Director for the
Credit Regulatory Relations Team. This group manages regulatory and
internal audit
relations for Credit, and works across Credit to oversee and
coordinate regulatory exams,
internal audits and credit reviews. A key function is to launch and
monitor projects
within Credit related to regulatory and audit initiatives in
collaboration with subject
matter experts.
The ideal candidate will have banking experience in credit risk
management, knowledge
of risk in connection with counterparty trading and lending
activities, and familiarity
with the Basel rules.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee and coordinate regulatory exams, internal audits and
credit reviews for
Credit
· Interpret requests for information and ensure comprehensive
understanding of
regulatory and audit mandates
· Coordinate with key Credit professionals to develop and launch
project plans to
close gaps related to regulatory and audit findings
· Coordinate and prepare materials for regulatory presentations
· Monitor and report on project execution and deliverables
· Provide regular reporting to senior management on regulatory
exams, internal
audits and credit reviews
· Organize and/or execute assessment projects within Credit related
to Basel
initiatives

Skills Required:
· At least 12 years of banking experience in a large, complex
financial institution
in Credit or Credit related function
· Well developed negotiation and relationship building skills
· Demonstrated ability to interact and influence at all levels of
an organization
· Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
· Ability and willingness to work under tight deadlines while
maintaining
commitment to achieving quality and accuracy
· Experience interacting with Federal Reserve and/or OCC
regulators
· Experience with Basel rules a plus
· Proficiency in Power Point and Excel
