Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Credit Risk Management is recruiting a Vice President for the Credit Regulatory Relations Team. This group is responsible for managing regulatory relations for Credit, including the oversight and coordination of regulatory exams and of internal audits and credit reviews, developing presentations to the regulatory agencies, fielding regulatory requests and working with Credit Officers to meet the requirements of regulatory agencies and to resolve and re-mediate regulatory issues.

The ideal candidate should have banking experience preferably in credit risk management or other risk area, knowledge of risk in connection with counter-party trading and lending activities, the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and superior communication and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the management of regulatory relationships for Credit in connection with global firm and legal entity regulatory examinations related to Credit
• Interpret requests for information, coordinate meetings within Credit and with other departments as necessary to develop materials responsive to such requests
• Track document production in connection with regulatory exams and audits
• Coordinate and/or prepare presentation materials for regulatory meetings
• Assist with the preparation of formal responses to findings from regulatory exams
• Assist with the resolution of regulatory exam and audit findings
• Track regulatory exam and internal audit findings and remediation
• Track metrics and coordinate internal reporting for regulatory and audit findings
• Coordinate and execute projects related to regulatory requirements

Skills Required:
• MBA or BA degree with at least 7 years banking experience, preferably in Credit
• Critical dependency on strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
• Ability to work independently and problem solve
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with senior level Credit management
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong Power Point and Excel skills

Skills Desired:
• Credit experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Basel capital rules
• Completion of Investment or Commercial Bank credit training program
• Project management experience
