The Client
International banks with strong franchise which combines an in-depth knowledge of local markets, with global product expertise to offer effective financial solutions. Due to business expansion, the banks are aggressively recruiting for outstanding individuals to join their credit teams providing expertise and financial inputs to the banks’ credit process.
The Position
The role-holder is to be responsible for assessment of project finance and corporate credits.
- Evaluate credit applications/borrower ratings and make recommendations to management.
- Monitor/review existing credits including covenants check and prepare monitoring report.
- Review and assess applications submitted from business units and make decision to seek approval from relevant authority. Applications include credit application, credit monitoring, calculation of classified amount, asset disposal, etc.
- Credits to be reviewed include corporate finance in the region. Other structured including LBO transactions may be assigned from time to time.
- Evaluate and monitor assigned industries as well as make recommendations for revision on industry policies.
- Develop credit guidelines as assigned and provide guidance to branches/divisions on the bank.
- Guide and support business lines/product groups/ examination functions/legal function/ risk management function on credit and risk related issues.
- Industrial research and analysis are also required. Business trip for site visit and internal/external meeting might be required.
The Candidate
You are required to possess:
- University graduate degree
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent credit analysis skills
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience on structured/project finance and corporate finance is preferred
- Experience as a credit reviewer at credit division would be an added advantage.
- Highly numerate with strong credit analytical and risk assessment skills
- Good industry knowledge of South East Asia would be a plus.
- Strong customer focus.
- Strong communications skills
