Credit Sanctioner

This role will involve the drafting, review and analysis as well as the approval of Credit Applications for both corporate and investment banking products across the retail and consumer portfolio. In addition you will ensure ongoing Credit Risk Management of the sanction decision and reporting supporting all the relevant post sanction fulfilment activities as well as the regular and annual credit review processes in line with the Risk Appetite, Governance and Control frameworks.

The main responsibilities of the role will involve the analysis and review of Credit applications ensuring high quality credit applications are drafted and where discretion permits approve the application within new discretions or submit for approval through relevant discretion processes for approval.

You will write Credit applications ensuring high quality standards of credit applications are drafted for submission for approval through relevant discretion processes. In addition, you will draft Executive summaries for submission to senior management and the relevant risk committees.

You will also act as a SME on the and source of knowledge on the Sector in which discretions are available and liaise and contact between support functions in support of approval and managing the credit risk associated with the credit application. You will also act as a point of contact within the Sector for the various Sales, IBD, Coverage, Product, Portfolio Management; Corp Banking International teams.

Any experience of the Retail and Consumer industry is beneficial, however, my client is open to receiving applicants from across a range of corporate credit sectors provided you can demonstrate strong analytical skills and have experience of a range of banking products.
