Job Description

The Credit Structuring Specialist is part of GWIM APR Credit and Banking group. The position holder is responsible for origination, structuring and execution of large, concentrated and/or complex transactions in collaboration with PWMs and risk functions, including Risk, Legal and Compliance. Provides expert knowledge and recommends solutions on credit related queries from PWMs and Clients, as appropriate. Directs and manages credit activities including underwriting and risk analysis. Underwrites and manages underwriting process for new transactions and annual reviews for the respective portfolio/market and advises on credit issues relating to derivative products. Negotiates loan documents and transaction parameters with bank counsel as well as borrowers and/or outside attorneys and ensures transaction deadlines are met. Negotiates with Risk approval conditions, special monitoring requirements and exit strategies. Supports sales related activities in partnership with other specialists in the Credit Banking group to drive the delivery of lending solutions and highlights opportunities gathered through the lending process. Participates in client meetings together with PWMs where necessary to provide subject matter expertise. Provides/develops credit expertise within partners and among fellow team members.
