The investment limits of the role are set by the CIO and his team who manage strategy and investment products, funds and underlying and the CRMIM explains the message to the clients and selects for their clients from within the inhouse approved listsstrategy. The IMCRM manages the day to day clients and acts as a buffer between the CIO S team and the clients by being on message with the house view.
The postholder is likely to have come from another wealth management, private banking or perhaps a stockbroking group. The preference is to be knowledgeable in most asset classes rather than expert in one. Some CFA progress would be appreciated. The client is a large independant WM group running several billion in aum. Candidates under late 20s are unlikely to have the investmentclient gravitas required.
