Cross Asset IT Release Support recruitment
The majority of services and products developed by the team are written in Java, although some occurrences of C# and C++ also exist. A lot of the environments also work with technologies as compute grids and data fabrics and geared towards being highly performance in nature.
The succesful applicant will have to perform the following duties:
• Perform periodic releases to the assigned applications in production. This includes; The release of deliverables (source code scripts, third party jars, database schema changes, Ctrl-M jobs, grid libraries) to the assigned applications
• The validation of the release by running the regression reports for verification to be done by the development groups
• Release of emergency patches to production whenever needed
• Ensuring that all required GSD tickets are in place and signed off on
• Prepare and distribute exception letters as required.
Specifications:
Experience in working in a Support/Release environment.
• Logical thinking
• Knowledge and understanding of all assigned applications and processes.
• Understanding of the business impacts of assigned applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of investment bank front and back office process flows, including those from upstream and downstream systems. Other skills/experiences would be an advantage:
• Change Experience• Understanding of investment banking exposure to SOX and other regulatory controls.
