QA Microbiologist - Food / Beverage Manufacturing
Kelly Scientific Resources is seeking a QA Microbiologist with 1-2 years of quality experience within the food science industry for a temporary opportunity we have available in the Orange County area. Monday - Friday, +OT 2 nd shift: 1pm-9:30pm Temp contract, with potential to extend to full time position Pay Rate: DOE Responsibilities Daily sanitary cleaning of the lab Verification of pH meters, refractometers, scales/balances, thermometers and lab equipment (HPLC, IC) Line clearance inspection prior to each test Correct use of aseptic techniques prior to each test Daily water quality testing Raw material testing and analysis Correct daily preparation of media and controls Daily environmental monitoring, testing and analysis Correct OOS procedures Finished goods testing and analysis Managing the work flow and performance of technician(s) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities BS degree in Microbiology, Food Science or related subject Minimum of 6 months- 2 years experience in Quality Assurance- Food Manufacturing. Strong mathematical skills Adequate computer skills, attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills are also required.
