CSS Manager - Business Unit

Oversees the statewide evaluation, recommendation coordination through PBS operations product modifications, enhancements, regulatory changes. Establishes statewide, effective liaison relationships collaboration between external agencies, internal KP business line managers, PBS departments (e.g., SCPMG/TPMG, Regional Occupational Health, Health Plan Marketing, The State Compensation Insurance Fund). Facilitates communication, coordination of activities, operational changes between stakeholder community. Essential Functions: - Upholds KP's Policies Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities applicable state, federal local laws - Develops evaluates product enhancement options recommends appropriate product strategies - Leads manages cross-functional project teams to implement product enhancements according to Business Line strategies - Develops strategies that cover billing collections activities, payer relations, insurance product offerings, payment methodologies, electronic transactions, communications, marketing activities - Systematically obtains field input regarding product issues competitor product offerings - Supports the product development functions as required to create new products for the Business Line - Accountable for managing daily operations; recruits, develops, disciplines evaluates staff performance - Provides consultative troubleshooting services to field staff regarding product operational attribute issues - Coordinates training efforts, communication efforts, IT changes, work flow/policies/procedure modifications, quality assurance efforts in support of product modifications new product rollouts - Communicates operational and/or system issues to PBS management team Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or related field required - Minimum of three (3) years experience in health care product management required - Minimum of three (3) years experience in project management required - Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience with diverse skills in the identification and resolution of business problems within a team setting required - Excellent communication, written and verbal skills required - Strong negotiation and facilitation skills required - Knowledge of the dynamics and trends in health care delivery systems and models, and of health care industry practices require - Knowledge of the following business lines required: third party liability, coordination of benefits, Medicare, MediCal and Occupational Health (depending on product line supported) - Excellent problem solving and decision making skills required - Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
