Customer Interface Engineer: This superb international business is a leading supplier of products, systems and onshore / offshore drilling and production equipment and are looking for a Customer Interface Engineer to join the team.

Customer Interface Engineer responsibilities :

Provide front end engineering support for the service of installed Production Control System (PCS) equipment and provide options for customers on refurbishment/repair of products.
Liaises with Commercial Operations, Product and Sales functions during the pursuit and bid phases of a tender.
Minimizes risk to Health, Safety and Environmental impact as a result of the design, manufacture and operation of equipment.
Provide accurate and validated Technical Proposals and an understanding of commercial impact.
Confidence and ability to directly negotiate alternative solutions with internal and external customers and can quickly analyse the commercial consequences of making such decisions.
Presents solutions in a form capable of ready interpretation by Internal and External customers at tender pursuit and execution phases
Ensures sub-contract technical risk is managed in line with Procedures
Collates and prepares preliminary and full Master Equipment Lists
Build effective relationships with customers
Support the rest of the ITO team with Proposal engineering tasks and understanding such that the company solution is competitive and preferred by the client.
Review/disposition survey reports.
Establish repair practices and engineering repair work scopes.

Customer Interface Engineer qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong working knowledge of direct and in-direct hydraulic control systems.
Basic knowledge of materials, welding and heat treatment.
Familiarity with industry standards and design codes.
Knowledge of Engineering design theory and manufacturing techniques.
Have a working knowledge of systems, procedures and other departments within the company.
Product Design experience in Oilfield Drilling and/or Production Equipment
Good understanding of internal sales and commercial functions within an organization
Ability to travel if required to meet customer needs
Experience in hydro-mechanical product design.
Knowledge of service maintenance procedures processes
