Customer Service Manager (Shipping)

Our client, a global shipping company based in East London, are looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to join their growing team. Working in an office of 40+ employees with supervisory requirements for the 24 FTE customer service/sales team, this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate.

In order to be considered for this position, you MUST come from either a shipping or logistics/transportation background, and have extensive experience in leading a customer service team. Responsibilities of the role include:

- Managing 24 FTE in the sales/commercial team (inbound/outbound calls)
- Handling escalations/complex queries when required to
- Ensuring all SLA's are met with
- Reporting on performance and expectations with the Commercial Director on a regular basis
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure a harmonious working atmosphere
- Agreeing KPI's for the performance of Customer Service functions
- Conducting regular reviews to encourage personal development

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential you have the following:

- Experience of working within a shipping/logistics background
- Experience of managing customer service/sales teams
- Strong, motivational leadership qualities
- An awareness of process excellence/six sigma
