Customer Service Supervisor--United Hardware Distributing Co., a distributor of hardware merchandise located in Plymouth MN, is looking for a Customer Service Supervisor for their Customer Service department. This position provides assistance to the Director of Customer Service in proactively reaching out to our customers and other internal departments to continue to provide a high level of service to our customers. Individual must be a customer service oriented professional who can manage workflow, knowledge sharing, customer service levels, and employees within department.  The position will also act as a department liaison between Customer Service and other departments to improve timely work flow, work methods, and dealer relations.

 

Primary duties and accountabilities:

 

Ø  Build and/or improve on lasting relationships with customers through knowledgeable communication and proactive calls

 

Ø  Proactively seek problem resolutions using appropriate resources in a timely manner while minimizing cost impact to company

 

Ø  Evaluate, monitor, and make recommendations for improved best practices within the department

 

Ø  Serve as key resource for questions relating to corporate systems

 

Ø  Actively participate on teams by contributing skills and appropriate knowledge to drive solutions and results

 

Ø  Understand all pertinent processes, policies and standards, both departmental and company-wide, needed to perform primary responsibilities

 

Ø  Serve as complete support and backup to the Customer Service team during times of absence or as needed to complete workflow

 

Ø  Serve as expert in problem solving related to customer service issues with the ability to coach and assist other Customer Service team members with more complex/difficult issues and in procedures and system applications

 

Ø  Give timely and meaningful annual reviews to direct reports and, if applicable, review annual reviews of all associates that are given by direct reports

 

Ø  Motivate and contribute to the professional development of subordinates

 

Minimum qualifications:

 

Ø  General Business Degree or equivalent experience

 

Ø  Retail experience helpful

 

Ø  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

 

Ø  Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines

 

Ø  Ability to negotiate

 

Ø  Supervisory and Customer Service experience is a must

 

Ø  Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills in order to work will all levels within and external to the organization.

 

Ø  PC skills including typing, data entry, email, and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access

 

Ø  Strong customer service, analytical, problem solving and change management abilities.

 

Ø  Self-starter with the ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and balance departmental workload to meet corporate deadlines.
