Job Description:
Siemens Industry, Inc. is looking for an exceptional Dispatcher - Administrator for our Customer Service Support Group within the Water Technologies Business Unit located in Los Angeles, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the market-leading Siemens AG, one of Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 Most-Admired Global Companies.
This is a demanding position, but for the right individual it is also an opportunity to make an impact and be an important player in our Mobile Deionization (MODI) business and branch administration operations.
As a mobile asset dispatcher, we are looking for an individual with a background in dispatch and mobile assets, a professional phone demeanor, the capacity to balance competing priorities and make solid decisions - often under pressure and sometimes without assistance - and the ability to handle on-call evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.
As a member of the branch administration staff, this individual must have administrative experience, strong computer skills (including MS Excel, MS Word and use of enterprise management software such as SAP), and high attention to detail.
The responsibilities of the Dispatcher – Administrator include:
- Fielding calls from customers for deliveries, scheduling driver runs, and maintaining communications with drivers and customers to ensure that deliveries are completed successfully.
- Working with the Plant Operations Manager and with plant operators to help set priorities for the regeneration staff.
- Opening Service Requests and assigning tasks to MODI drivers.
- Tracking and consolidating vendor invoices and preparing invoices for the branch’s largest groundwater remediation account.
- Managing accounts payable and obtaining purchase orders for all outside vendors performing services at the branch.
The qualifications of the Dispatcher – Administrator include:
*A H.S. Diploma or equivalent
*3-5 years experience as a mobile asset dispatcher strongly desired
*3-5 years experience in an administration support role strongly desired
*Must have strong and demonstrated Microsoft Word and Excel skills
*SAP experience strongly desired, although candidates with other database experience will be considered
*Demonstrated ability to work independently, be a self-starter and have the ability to make independent decisions under pressure
*A professional demeanor, a customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
*Must be willing and able to work shifts or weekends and take rotations on-call, as required by our business and our customer’s needs
*A Class A CDL (Commercial Drivers License) is strongly desired, although the willingness to obtain a Class A CDL may also be considered
