Cylinder Filler / Back-up Driver - Airgas MidAmerica - Knoxville, TN
Airgas Mid America, Inc., a subsidiary of Airgas, Inc., a leading distributor of industrial, medical, specialty gases welding supplies, is seeking a Cylinder Filler / Back-up Driver to join our Knoxville, TN Puritan Medical team.
Position Summary
The cylinder filler / back-up driver position will operate equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders and making local and hot shot deliveries. Pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests will be performed before cylinders are released. Regular inspections of pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices used in daily activities. Fills cylinders or containers to proper capacity and accurately maintains cylinder filling records and ensures that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations. Loads cylinders onto vehicles using hand truck or lift gate. A back-up route driver drives a Class B truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hardgoods and will deliver products to businesses, industrial, and medical gas customers on a scheduled route or intermittently for hot shot deliveries.
Qualified candidate must have:
* 1 Year Driving Experience
* CDL A or B w/ Hazmat air brake
* Clean MVR / driving record
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Knowledge of industrial and medical gases a plus
