•  Work with the data set owners to identify changes that would make the data more suitable for Broker Relations usage

•  Identify minor changes to make reports quicker to produce or more consistent across teams

•  Identify major changes that would require adjustment of ways of working – e.g., product level profitability

•  Understand what external data would be beneficial and develop cost/benefit analysis where this requires investment

•  Data analysis

•  Analysis the data reactively in response to specific questions from the business or Broker Relations leadership

•  Analysis the data proactively to bring interesting new insight

•  Data insight development

•  Identify trends within the data

•  Understand business trends and see how the available data supports

•  Interact with business teams to understand drivers of these trends and implications for the teams

•  Data reporting

•  Present all findings in easy to absorb reports – varying as required – e.g., formal reports for Executive Committee versus daily updates on key market metrics by email

•  Business development activities

•  As part of the Broker Relations team, work with the business to understand how to exploit opportunities identified in the data

•  Through the above tasks and direct communication help the Broker Relations team and the business in general understand the importance of collecting, analysing and using data to get significant additional insight
