What you’ll do
As a Data Analyst / Junior researcher, your main responsibility will be gathering data about the Financial Markets. For example, you will, on a daily basis, track volumes of products being traded and perform basic analyses on the information gathered. You will provide the Traders and Business Developers with the results which they will use in their search for new business opportunities and definition of strategic goals. As the new Data Analyst / Junior Researcher you will be part of the Research Department of Optiver.
What we need
- Academic degree;
- Proven affinity for finance and financial markets and a ‘numbers-oriented’ character;
- Good mathematical skills;
- An eye for accuracy and attention to detail;
- Hands-on mentality;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically Excel/Access;
- Experience with Visual Basic, Matlab or similar applications is desired;
- Excellent communicative and written skills in English.
