Data and Pricing Analyst recruitment

• Perform daily tasks within the firm to facilitate the trade workflow between the system trade blotter and Dimension accounting systems, compliance monitoring, investment committee report and client reporting.

• Provide support to the Front Desk through the security set up and valuation processes, especially on new and complex transactions or products.

• Proactive involvement in the resolution of any daily pricing issues, supporting bespoke client queries and coordinating with custodians to solve and settle disputes.

• Assist with monitoring the accuracy of investment data entered into the systems or loaded automatically from external sources to support Investment and Performance reporting requirements.

• Undertake day to day duties as necessary to ensure that required data is loaded in a timely manner, within deadlines and in line with agreed procedures. Complete necessary Daily/Monthly reports for checks and control.

• Work closely with the other Operations units and IT to develop the overall service to the business.

• Day to day liaison with Portfolio Managers, Risk and other senior management.

• Contribute to projects specific to the Pricing and Data Management team.

• Escalate significant issues to the Head of Pricing and Data Management.

• Previous experience analysing P/L or pricing within an Operations/Middle Office department of an investment firm, ideally in a supervisory position. Specific exposure to emerging markets activities is desirable.

• Extensive knowledge of Fixed Income instruments as well as derivatives, foreign exchange and equities, particularly the data required to support the trading of such instruments.

• Essential understanding of global close of market pricing, fair valuation methods, vendor/counterparty pricing comparison.

• Ability to work under pressure, to prioritise and multi-task as well as to cover for colleagues when absent.

• Ability to communicate confidently on matters of valuation and asset behavior, both internally and externally to all levels of an organization

• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles, specifically relating to accounting treatment of securities, FX and derivatives

• Competence in the use data rich systems such as trade order management systems, portfolio accounting systems. Excellent Microsoft Office skills

• Proven capability to manage small teams, motivate, implement controls for dynamic processes and have a pragmatic approach.

• The successful candidate will be practical with a results focused approach. A can do attitude is essential.

• Will have a good understanding of the fund management business and the importance of accurate data is key.

• The successful candidate will have a good understanding of emerging markets and of the instruments that the firm trades in (e.g. bonds, derivatives, FXs, IRS and TRS, equities and repo).
